Annual Nottingham Based Belly Dance Festival. In this edition join us for 5 hours of Belly Dance Workshops from some of the best Belly Dance teachers in the UK, show off your dance skills and what you been working on in the last year in the Gala Show and join us for our Hafla after.

Workshop Schedule
9:00am - 10:00am: Arrival and registration (Have a coffee and meet some of your belly dance friends)
10:00 - 11:30: Workshop 1 (Yallar: graceful arms, dynamic hips, lyrical song choreography)
11:45 am - 1:15 pm: Workshop 2 (Eleanor: Show Stopping Drum Solo)
14:15 - 16:15: Workshop 3 (Leilah: Mejanse choreography)

16th March 2:15pm - 4:15pm Oriental Mejance Choreography: This raqs sharqi (belly dance) opening number typically begins with a fast rhythm that allows for the dancer to cover space as she "greets" her audience and captures their attention, then changes in rhythm and melody so that the dancer can take their audience on a sort of journey through a variety of Middle Eastern dance styles.
